About the Luckenbooth Circle.
Luckenbooth is a fun and supportive social dance that takes place on the third Friday of every month from September through to May.
We walk all dances through, but appreciate it if people have taken the time to have a look at them before coming (scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com). Some clubs (including Reel Club) practice the dances beforehand.
Programmes and cribs are available on this website at least a month prior to the event.
We break halfway though for a shared supper. Please bring your own food, which you can share, if you wish, with others on your table. Also please bring your own plate, mug and cutlery. Hot drinks are provided, and there will be snacks provided on each table.
News.
Even though the current season is drawing to a close, we still have a few exciting events coming up. Our May ball is on the horizon, with a simpler programme that can be enjoyed by less experienced dancers and all our regulars. We will also be holding a day school on June 7th (watch this space for more details), and – really exciting news - all the East Anglian groups have joined together to organise a totally fabulous summer dance, on 21st June at Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, with live music from the incomparable Keith Smith and Anne-Laure Latour. Click here for details or e-mail us for tickets and further information buryreelclub@outlook.com
Luckenbooth itself will then return on the third Friday of September, the 17th, We look forward to seeing you at some, or even all, of these.
